2014 Tinker Bell Half Marathon Costumes

I have been planning for the Tinker Bell half marathon weekend for months now, and it took me a long time to figure out as what character I wanted to run. Tinker Bell, or her fairy friends for that matter, seemed the obvious choice. I also thought about the other female characters from Peter Pan… Wendy, Tiger Lily, a mermaid. None of them really stood out to me though. Then, as I was watching Brave one day, I decided that I wanted to run as Merida. She has so many admirable characteristics – intelligence, independence, bravery, and a very strong will.

Robert, in turn, decided to do a costume themed with mine, so he went with Mor’du, the cursed bear from Brave. My favorite thing about his costume is that he made his kilt look like it was ripped by a bear!

If you see us, come say hi! Don’t forget, I’ll be live posting this weekend on Twitter and Facebook (links below or on the left sidebar under the ‘Contact Me’ section)!

  6. That is so cool! Is that a wig? It looks like it could be your real hair, just a different color. It's pretty!. Will you run with it down?

    1. Thanks! It is most definitely a wig - my hair would take forever to get it to look like that lol! My actual hair will be in a ponytail tucked up in the wig.
