Weekly Recap 9/16 – 9/22

Hey everyone! Can you believe yet another Monday is here already? Time is going by so fast; less than TWO weeks until we head to Disney World for the Tower of Terror 10-Miler! I will probably be revealing our costumes for both the race and Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party next week (once they are complete). Get excited!

Training this past week was completely up and down. With my brother heading out to boot camp, and mine and Robert’s 1-year anniversary, I have to admit my mind was slightly distracted. In a nutshell, Monday and Wednesday’s workouts were hard to get in to at all, while Tuesday and Thursday’s runs started rough but really ended strong.

Saturday was a completely different story though – I did 6 miles at the park and guess what y’all?! It was 72F degrees outside! The humidity was at 97%, and the grassy parts of the park were flooded from all the rain we got, but with the temperature so low and clouds blocking the sun, it was the best outdoor long run that I have had in weeks! On my last two miles it was like somebody else’s legs were carrying me because I felt like my pace and mentality was so strong! I rewarded myself later with my first Skinny Pumpkin Spice Latte of the season from Panera!

My workouts this week:

Monday: Jillian Michael’s Six Week Six-Pack (35 minutes)

Tuesday: 4 x (1200 meters fast pace + 400 meters walk)

1200 meters pace = 8:45 min/mile
400 meters pace = comfortable walk

Wednesday: Jillian Michael’s Killer Buns & Thighs (40 minutes)

Thursday: 5 Mile Maintenance Run (Pace: 10:30 min/mile)

Friday: Rest Day/Stretch

Saturday: 6 Mile Long Run (Pace: Unknown)

Sunday: Rest Day/Stretch

Monday Motivation!

QOTD: Are you getting any gorgeous fall weather yet?

    1. It's so close I can feel myself wanting to start packing (although I probably won't until the night before because I always tend to do that lol)!

So glad fall has arrived in Cali as well :)
