Weekly Recap 4/15 – 4/21

This week was pretty good for training. Like last week, Friday was the only day that I did not do any stretching, so not too bad! I also decided to replace my usual Wednesday maintenance run with some strength training for a couple of reasons. One, because I had a race coming up on Saturday, so I did a mini-taper. Also, I combined a maintenance pace with a tempo pace for my Tuesday run.

My workouts this week:

Monday: Jillian Michaels Killer Buns & Thighs (40 minutes)

Tuesday: 4.09 miles for Boston (First 2 miles pace: 10:30 min/mile – Last 2.09 miles pace: 9 min/mile)

Wednesday: Jillian Michaels 6-Week Six-Pack (35 minutes)

Thursday: Speed work intervals – 3 x (1200 meters race pace + 400 meters walk)

1200 meters = 0.75 mile (Pace: 8:45 min/mile)
400 meters = 0.25 mile (Pace: Comfortable walk)

Friday: Rest Day

Saturday: Color Me Cooper 5K Race (Recap to come!)

Sunday: Jillian Michaels Killer Buns & Thighs (40 minutes) Rest Day/Stretch
