Weekly Recap 4/1-4/7

I have decided that Sundays will be my weekly recap day for my blog. I feel it is important to keep myself accountable for my workouts done throughout the week.

Monday: Rest Day/Stretch

Tuesday: 3.5 mile tempo run (Pace: 9 min/mile)

Wednesday: 4 mile maintenance run (Pace: 10:30 min/mile)

Thursday: Stretch/Foam Roll -- Scheduled to do interval speed work, but my leg was hurting and I was not sure why, so I decided to play it safe and take this day off.

Friday: Rest Day/Stretch

Saturday: 6.06 mile long run in 58:34 – I know long runs are supposed to be easier pace runs, but the weather was perfect and I felt great, so I decided to push myself a little bit.

Mile 1: 10:03
Mile 2: 10:10
Mile 3: 9:35
Mile 4: 9:50
Mile 5: 9:14
Mile 6: 9:07
Mile 0.06: 0:36

Sunday: Rest Day/Stretch/Go for a walk

  1. Nice run on Saturday! I'm a firm believer in negative splits (running slower in the beginning and increasing the pace as you go on) as to not burn yourself out.

    I'm training for Dumbo at Disneyland in August. :) I'm getting over a cold, so my goal is to get back on track with training. I do a "Training Tuesday" post where I recap the past week and lay out my plans for the next week. Hope you'll check it out! :)
