4.09 Miles For Boston

I am truly at a loss for words about the tragic events that took place yesterday at the Boston Marathon. This event was supposed to be such a joyous occasion, and that was robbed from those who took place in the race. Yesterday, amidst the shock and emotion, all I could do was pray over and over, please keep everyone safe.

Life is short. We must live life like today is our last day, and never let fear define who we are or who we can become. We will stand united against those who desire to tear us apart.

Heather, from Through Heather's Looking Glass, has come up with a wonderful idea. Today, in honor of those who lost their lives, those who were injured, and the families of those affected, I will run 4.09 miles. The first explosion was set off when the race clock showed 4 hours and 9 minutes, so I see this as a way for the running community to band together and show our support for everyone in Boston.

  1. I went out and ran my 4.09 this morning for Boston!

  2. I will be running my 4.09. I'm down with an injury for now, but I will run this in their honor as well.

  3. Love seeing all the support for Boston :)
